It's mostly an unconscious process, right now: he doesn't entirely understand why wearing his combat gear in public makes his back stop hurting from the weight of the metal arm, or makes him run faster towards trouble, or his hearing sharper. He's in the habit of not questioning why things work. Doesn't change the fact of how it actually works, of course.

He ignores Marian's reaction, though, and deposits the thief in front of the woman he stole from. "Give it back," he says flatly, muffled only slightly through the mask.

Terrified, said thief shoves the purse at her. The mask is pretty effective against pick-pockets, too.
