The (Assumed) CR Meme + Idk Some Other Stuff
All of our characters have likely crossed paths at one point or another, whether they realized it or not at the time--Gloucester's not huge, and the ADI is even smaller.
So what kind of chit-chat happens at the water cooler? Are there any break room feuds over that yogurt that definitely had a sticky-note on it that said 'do not eat'?
Have characters investigated weirdness together--either productively or unproductively? Run into each other around town? Caught each other using powers in less-than-sanctioned ways?
Bet on how many days it will take so-and-so to get written up for microwaving that goddamn tuna in the goddamn common area AGAIN?
Have you been on hiatus or caught up in the clusterf*ck beginning of 2022 and you're looking to get some CR rolling but dread the inevitable small talk introductions????
THIS IS THE MEME FOR YOU.
There's a questionnaire-type-deal for inspiration purposes, but please don't limit yourselves to what's there. It's meant to spark ideas for interactions that have happened "off-screen," and discussions of events that would have been cool/might be fun but you either didn't have time to thread it out or would like to in the future.
The questions are a mix of "what is your character up to," "what do you WANT them to be up to," and "what is their random day like and how might we play with that" sort of things. The descriptions of the Entities and the ways they can be fed can be found RIGHT HERE on this handy dandy previous meme that I stole shit from! I figure feeding (or stopping others from feeding) an Entity could also be a good (or terrible) way to spark some assumed/established CR, positive or negative.
Of course you can fill this out as much or as little as you want--it's here to spark ideas!

Tagging Habits: Heavy on the weekends, practically none mid-week depending on how late I'm working. Will backtag for a longass time, but love a good boomerang session.
Extra: I love hurt/comfort, sibling relationships, parental-style relationships, unlikely friendships, antagonistic CR. The only thing I don't really enjoy is when CR seems to get stuck in a rut in terms of development--doubly true for negative CR. I don't mind negative CR getting worse, even! I just like it to be doing something. Huge horror fan, into body horror, altered states, hallucinations, etc. Psychological fuckery is a hard fave.
I like... cats. I post about cats.... a lot.... Also whatever TV show I'm currently obsessed with.
Hard Nos: Very hard no to playing out dementia-related loss. TV-land style temporary amnesia? SURE. DELIGHTFUL. Genuine slow decline of ability to speak, reason, and recognize the self? No thank.
Neal Caffrey || White Collar
Canon: White Collar
Age: ~37?? ~38 now, since his birthday was March 21st? The canon timeline is a little iffy.
Housing: ADI, A4 - housed with Katrina and Bruno.
Employment: Neal works with security, doing the 'build a better mouse trap' stuff. He finds it entertaining enough, and he's been focused on finding ways on the mundane side of things to tighten up security loopholes... while building himself some figurative back doors/getting to know the systems well enough to use it to his advantage should the need arise.
He also occasionally does PR-adjacent-things because he's rly good at spin and making people believe the TANGENTIALLY TRUE.

Personality: He's a nerd. A giant, giant nerd who got genetically lucky and has the looks to be called a Renaissance man instead of an archaic weirdo. He tends to be good at playing cool and suave until he gets genuinely interested in something, which is when the effusive enthusiasm breaks loose and he spends five minutes rambling about spectrographic imaging of canvases and the ways to get around the common pitfalls in the accurate dating of forged paintings. Or like, that article he read in the New Yorker about some restaurant's very specifically designed type of kitchen machinery. Or something like that.
He's also occasionally prone to smugness, since he's used to being the smartest one in the room, but a lot less so now than when he was younger. He also cares about people A Lot. Humanity is a magical thing to him, and he wholeheartedly wants the best for people, even if he is also prone to making really stupid decisions that get others hurt/upset them. 9/10 times he means well or genuinely didn't consider the consequences. And will go to extreme lengths to fix his mistakes/make it up to whoever he disappointed.
Again less than he used to. But he's got a very unhealthy need to please.
I'm going to just stop there before I tldr.
Brief Background: Raised in WITSEC from age 3 - 18, at which time he learned his real name (and the reason he and his family were in WITSEC) and ran away from home. Made his way to NYC, where he filled his pockets with small-time scams of the wealthy and more or less harmless thefts until he got taken under the wing of a man named Vincent Adler. Adler was the one who gave Neal a taste for the Finer Things and a brutal education in con artistry to match, eventually leaving him penniless and in shock after a double-cross. Neal became an international traveler, gambler, thief, and forger, infamously connected to dozens of high-risk, high-reward crimes and cons without a lick of evidence that would hold up to prove it.
He eventually got caught on bond forgery, after walking himself into a trap he realized was there. Fast-forward four years: he escapes supermaximum security prison with just about two months left on his sentence, for boneheaded romantic reasons, and ends up figuratively chained to a desk with the FBI's White Collar division in Manhattan until he's served his time. He gets two square miles to roam unsupervised in exchange for working cases. A Series of Unfortunate Events drove the FBI to continuously find ways to extend his sentence, at one point calling Neal the White Collar FBI's "number-one asset." KEEP FASTFORWARDING BC I'M TALKING TOO MUCH: a bunch of traumas later he fakes his own death to get away from the FBI and simultaneously protect his friends from people who will v much be out to make him pay for being such a pain in their asses. CUE END OF SERIES and Neal getting dumped from Paris into Gloucester.
Entity Affiliation(s): Looking to develop! When I applied I listed him as being affiliated with the Eye but even more than that I'm starting to think he'd fit with the Stranger or the Web.
Do They Actively Feed Their Patron?: NOT YET but he's getting closer to doing something desperate to try and protect/"keep"/get to stay with the people he cares about here. The fear of them disappearing or getting hurt is Stronk. (So healthy....)
How They Might Feed: WELL... he's a con man. When it comes to the Stranger, he has a thousand very relevant skills that could all feed that particular entity in some small way. Same is true of the Web. He can be very creatively vindictive at times, and he manipulates people on the daily whether he means to or not--from simple misdirection while he lifts that rich guy's wallet to lying his way into an office or venue he's really not supposed to get into. And possibly leaving said person to deal with the fallout of letting a stranger in. Mostly because he didn't think about them.
Open to Other Feeding Suggestions: Yes!
Day to Day Activities: Neal's average day at the moment is spent watching cameras in a security office and being bored out of his mind, testing the technology ADI has available for
exploitablereinforceable weaknesses, and doing the rounds about Gloucester delivering food to the homeless. The latter he started doing with Kugrash (now vanished), after Kugrash made him aware of the local homeless population. He also spends a fair amount of time pickpocketing around town to entertain himself and supplement his ADI salary, though he only ever targets people who can clearly afford it. His particular specialty is ruining the day of rich tourists who treat the local baristas badly.He also regularly experiments with recipes, testing them out on his roomies and his friends over in B1 and the occasional lucky bastard who finds him leaving food out on a table in one of the housing or office common areas. He Liek Cookin.
ADI Thoughts: Neal has very mixed feelings about ADI. He has a massive distrust of powerful institutions for soooo many reasons, but right now considers them to be the best of a bad set of options. He's treating it as an 'enemy of my enemy' situation more than anything. The ADI has resources, and the more useful he makes himself to them, the better position he'll be in to either access those resources or sabotage them should the need arise.
Present Life: Currently in the shmoopy lovesick phase of dating Malcolm Bright, and pretending not to be as wigged out by the disappearances of people as he is. The vanishing has made him extremely apprehensive in terms of getting attached to people, but Neal is also totally incapable of not getting attached to people. It's one of the things that will push him toward genuine entity alignment, ironically.
Future Ideas: AT SOME POINT I want him to fuck up the ADI's shit. Accidentally, intentionally, not sure yet--but as mentioned above, he's very focused on being valuable to them so he can use it to his advantage if/when it becomes necessary. This may involve breaking into areas that are off-limits to PCs, sabotage, etc, resulting in Things Going Horribly Awry. (Or awright?) Not sure yet but SOMETHING.
CR Wanted: Little sisters!!! Unexpected/odd-couple friendships!!! People to get close to and then carelessly/accidentally hurt and have to deal with the fallout!!! Enemies!!! Come at me!!!

Gil Arroyo || Prodigal Son
Age: 59, DEBATING ON A BIRTHDAY for him to turn Ye Olde 6-0
Housing: ADI
Employment: INVESTIGATIONS... which I haven't done much with as yet, because Life Happens So Much. Unlike his protege (Malcolm), he's very invested in the cases that the ADI gets and wants to figure out how to save the world but also GET HOME AND STUFF. I'm thinking of having him trying to dig in to the disappearances of PCs to see if there's any plot spin to be had there.

Personality: Dour, sardonic, grumpy old man!!! Okay no he's also got a lively sense of humor and is intensely empathetic/sympathetic to people. He has a soft spot for strays and does his best to support the people he cares about, even if he can be a little short-sighted when it comes to what's best for them vs what he thinks is best for them. He's solid, confident, and while he doesn't have many illusions about what the world is like, he doesn't accept that it's what the world has to stay.
Brief Background: We're not given much, but we know he's a New Yorker born and bred, and that he had a wife named Jackie that he met some time after arresting Malcolm's father, after Malcolm's mom ended things between them. (Basically > Malcolm calls cops on his dad > Gil falls hard into caring about this kid and his family > Gil falls even harder into caring about Malcolm's mom > Malcolm's mom breaks things off because he's not from her ~sphere~ > Gil gets married and then later loses his wife to an unspecified illness.) It's been a long time since that loss, and he's pretty much got work and Malcolm and not much else. Other than his adoptees. Where the series left off, Gil was actively pursuing Jessica (Malcolm's mom) again, with the patience of a saint. I mean what. (I kid, I ship it so hard.)

Day to Day Activities: Investigating. Digging through old files/newspapers. Trying to establish Spoopy Contacts around Gloucester and out-of-state through NPCs (something else I'm going to noodle on and pitch to the mods in the next month or so). He'll go out for walks when the weather is nice, spends a lot of time on the ADI housing roof patios, and is prone to hanging around auto shops in Gloucester because he misses his car and working on her. :C
ADI Thoughts: Gil does not like ADI. But he's also very used to working for and with organizations he might not like for the sake of their available resources, information, etc. He's with them until they tip too far past the point of no moral return.
Present Life: I'm gearing up to get him more involved in investigative things! The last few months have been a lot life-wise, but i'm finally getting some leeway to have like. Fun and stuff. As mentioned above, he spends a lot of time digging through old case files and he's been keeping a record of people who have disappeared/any rumors surrounding their disappearances (which is another thing I plan to pitch to/ask the mods about!) He drinks way too much coffee from the cheapest coffee shop/diner he can find because bean water is bean water, it's about the caffeine not the taste. So sometimes he can be found hanging around cafes with piles of notes. Otherwise he mostly keeps to the offices and to the apartments.
...Gil pls learn to have a life.
Future Ideas: ...Well, mentioned above: investigating disappearances, if there's anything story-wise that can be done there. Digging in to the history of the ADI, trying to find out where other branches are located/what partner organizations might exist in other countries. Learning more about the entities. Trying to save wayward kids from becoming monsterpeople. THINGS OF THAT NATURE.
CR Wanted: ALL THE THINGS. Children to adopt. Not-actually-children-but-still-needing-adoption people to adopt. Antagonistic relationships. Friends. HE'S OLD AND LONELY which is part of why he keeps to himself. He's pretty dang sure he's the oldest person left at the ADI (look he doesn't know about the immortal stuff) so that could be interesting to play with.
CR Offered: THE COUNTERPART OF ALL OF THE ABOVE? Also people to either try to make him slow down or people to draw him deeper into the front lines. Both would be great/terrible for their own reasons.

Tagging Habits: Some most mornings, sporadically most evenings. I usually catch up on Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon during my husband's medical appointments if I'm at all behind.

Malcolm Bright | Prodigal Son
Age: 34
Housing: ADI, Apartment B1
Employment: Malcolm works at ADI in Investigations, but most of the time the types of investigations aren't really what interests him and he doesn't put his all into it. He hangs around ADI during the work day if there's nothing exciting to go out and investigate.

Personality: As his mentor once said, "Malcolm Bright is going to do whatever Malcolm Bright wants to do and we can't control him". Once he sets his mind to something, he’ll pursue it with a singlemindedness that can be downright dangerous, particularly to himself. He’s gotten injured more than once going off by himself to pursue a lead, and will go to extremes (lying to a suspect, setting a fire in an airtight vault, ET CETERA) to play it out. When he gets a mystery under his skin, he's relentless in solving it. Malcolm has enormous empathy for other people. For him, justice applies even to the most depraved minds. He was kicked out of the FBI for punching a sheriff that killed a surrendering suspect, in spite of the fact that the suspect was a serial killer who pickled people’s faces. He’d been in the process of talking the man down, empathizing with him, and insisting that no one is born broken—someone breaks us. Solving cases is also his coping mechanism for dealing with mental health struggles stemming from the cPTSD that he carries. It came about as a result discovering of his serial killer father's crimes, and the subsequent frequent chloroforming his father did to him to keep him silent and make him forget. Consistently throughout the series he focuses on the problems he can solve and distances himself as best he can from the ones he can’t. For example, when he discovers his girlfriend was using him for information, he buries his feelings in solving another case. His words are “This, I can’t fix. That, I can.” He feels deeply for vulnerable people and people who have been victimized, going to bat for people that others write off as lost causes. He insists at one point that an agoraphobic recluse could be the best witness Major Crimes has ever had, even though the rest of the team has written him off as a nutcase. He goes after people who take advantage of others with mercilessness—his attitude toward organized religion is an excellent example. He’s irreverent, dismissive, and insulting when dealing with the powerful figures in the Catholic church after an exorcist is murdered in a church. He also has low self-esteem, seeing his ability to solve cases as one of the few areas where he carries worth. When he’s unconscious and hallucinating during the second season, even his dream-self, living in an ideal world and forgetting his old life, he tells his partner that he doesn’t feel like he deserves it. That’s consistent throughout the series, with Malcolm clinging to affection wherever he can find it and never protesting when he’s treated badly. He feels like he’s already getting more than he deserves.
Brief Background: Malcolm was ten when he discovered his father was a serial killer and called the police. His father, it turns out, is one of the most famous and prolific serial killers in history. Known as The Surgeon, Dr Martin Whitly's cover life was meticulously maintained and the police may never have caught him if his son hadn't turned him in. Malcolm deals with cPTSD, depression, night terrors and anxiety. One of the reasons he sticks with ADI is for access to his medications for those issues. He's a profiler, trained by the FBI, but he got into the field to try to understand his father and reconcile the Perfect Dad with the Cold Blooded Killer. In 2019 he was fired by the FBI after ten years for his unconventional methods.
Entity Affiliation(s): Mostly he's trying to help other people avoid getting affiliated. Suppressing the darkness within is what he's spent his whole life doing.

ADI Thoughts: Malcolm doesn't agree with all of their methods, but he can't argue with the perks, like an agreeable place to live and access to his meds. He does try to counter their harsher methods with trying on his own to help people pull back from feeding Entities.
Present Life: He is seeing someone now - Neal Caffrey - so he spends time with him. He also spends a lot of time with his sister (who just arrived), his mentor Gil Arroyo and his roommates.
Future Ideas: I want him to stick his nose in more people's psychology and relationships. He just wants to help ok.
CR Wanted: ANY.
CR Offered: Malcolm is good at determining people's mental states from their facial expressions and he's good at counselling people, even though he refuses to work in the counselling department. He does do it as a hobby. If you want someone to interfere in your personal life, he's your man!
CR Not Wanted: I'm pretty open to anything.
Extra: I'd love to get him involved in trying to help more people resist the Entities (and succeed or fail; idc which). He doesn't want to see them killed by the ADI ;.;

• Speed: Slow/sporadic schedule, but typically available late afternoon/evenings when my brain allows, and always willing to boomerang on my days off (no set work schedule so this varies, constantly sobs).

Personality:
• Ambitious: Ainsley is a real go-getter, do-it-herself sort of person. Why wait for someone else when she can get the answers or task done on her own? She’s a dedicated self-starter and will throw her whole self into any project she gets behind.
• Protective: At least of who and what she calls her own. Namely, her family. Though she sometimes takes things too far and crosses over into amoral or unethical actions in the name of it, Ainsley is fiercely protective of her family. In her summation, nothing is off-limits when it comes to doing so. This aggressive defense of her family can at times be extreme but ties into a strong loyalty to the people she considers her own.
• Golden Child Syndrome: Ainsley's mother constantly pushed the idea of perfection onto her; Malcolm was broken, because of what he found the night their father was arrested, but Ainsley was never allowed that, despite having the same father, and the same complications of having the Whitly name attached to her. She wears a facade of being fine, and perfect, and always on, always smiling, compared to her brother's arguably less put-together vibes. It's a mask worn as a defense, and it's slipping lately.
• Competitive: She has a bad habit of making literally e v e r y t h i n g a competition of some sort. This cutthroat attitude to always "win" at everything sometimes overrides her empathy and blinds her to the impact her words or actions have on others.
• Reckless/Impulsive: It might just be a family trait; but Ainsley is not above ignoring the realities of consequence to herself to go that extra mile for what she wants.
Brief Background: Daughter of an heiress of old money and a world-renowned surgeon, Ainsley Whitly’s life was well-privileged and full of the best schools, and probably just about anything she might want.
She is an ambitious, fierce woman who will go to sometimes surprising lengths to get what she wants, and usually what she wants is the truth. She cares deeply for her brother and mother and has a complicated mess of emotions about the father she barely knows.
Being sheltered from the reality of her father’s status as a serial killer gave Ainsley a fierce drive to uncover mysteries and find the truth of situations that eventually led to her job as an investigative reporter.
Despite her always well put together appearances, there are some carefully hidden broken pieces of the serial killer’s daughter hidden behind a well-practiced mask of The Golden Child. A dark cloud may be lurking unseen behind the sunshine smile.
Entity Affiliation(s): I'm looking to get her trapped in The Web. Haven't started it yet since we just got here~

Day to Day Activities: Coffee at a shop within walking distance from the ADI buildings; lunch break in the canteen; find her in the Media/Public Relations offices at any time during work hours, probably; poking around in the ADI library off-the-clock. Otherwise, she hasn't settled into much in way of routines beyond these so far!
ADI Thoughts: Undecided, mostly still trying to wrap her mind around the fuckery. Her questioning of Nia at the meeting earned the Warden a little favor just because of how blunt-honest she was, though. The fact a lot of it lined up with her convo with Meredith was 👌
Present Life: She just got here, there's not a ton besides she's throwing herself wholesale into work, b/c she doesn't know how else to cope. She has Mixed Feelings™ about the job because she's an Actual Factual Reporter back home and the reporting here is more like lying? But it's for the sake of keeping people safe? It's Complicated™. She's Malcolm Bright's baby sister, so if that alone gives you an easy in with her, hmu~
Future Ideas: Right now, I just need to catch and cultivate some CR for her! Any/all flavors/styles of it are welcome. The one plan I do have on docket is, starting with Nia's meeting and trying to get word to people about the blackouts being tOtAlLy NoRmAl NoThiNg tO sEe HeRe, she's gonna start a TikTok/YouTube/viral video "news minutes" thing. For now, it's gonna be strickly in the business of helping the ADI cover up the supernatural fuckery happening (could change later, who knows~).
CR Wanted: Girls night times someone plz; friends; ADI co-workers that annoy her; people both to play on the darker and lighter sides of her b/c she's in a precarious space due to canon point;
CR Offered: She'd be a good fling or one-nighter if you wanna assume a thing at some point; she can be the co-worker that annoys you b/c she's always asking 900 questions; she's also 100% That Rich Bitch so do with that what you will; could def be a gossip hound if someone's into that.
CR Not Wanted: Not particularly looking to long-term ship at the moment, prefer that to happen organically.
Extra: 'High on charm, low on empathy' is both a very good description of her and also a canon line I'd like to use in her interactions with people. You are 100% more than welcome to have your dude notice she reacts... strangely and kind of out-of-sync of what makes sense from time to time if it comes up in threads with your people. She can sometimes have an almost flat affect about her, or seem Real Detached from things that should Probably Matter More Than That. Fuck with her brother and she might (literally) kill you tho :)

Personality:
Luka is a sweet, caring, tol himbo. He Tries a Lot and seems to have used all his faculties on being a good doctor but left little else for anything else. He's also incredibly protective to the point where it delves into recklessness, but a lot of that stems from the PTSD he has from not being able to save his family. He's incredibly protective of the people he loves and can be terrifying about it. He does have a temper but he's mostly easy to get along with, and he usually thinks things are his fault so he's most likely to blame himself rather than blow up or get back at somebody. However, if he does get mad, he can be either really passionate about it or even worse, go into a cold, terrifying rage. His guilt over pretty much everything in his life is what tempers his temper, though, and he has PTSD even though he doesn't talk about it or admit it. He once accidentally killed a mugger because the attack triggered his PTSD of not being able to protect his family. He can be prone to gloomy to depressive moods, especially if he's made a mistake. He can also be very stubborn especially if he thinks he's right. He also likes unwinding by playing video games, and can be careless about his living situation. He's also a prankster but it takes a lot to get it out of him, and only if he's feeling comfortable.
Brief Background:
Luka grew up in Croatia and still has a lovely accent. His youth and adolescence were fairly tranquil, he had a harmonious family and he was pretty happy growing up. He was a playful prankster throughout college. He went to medical school, was an actor in college and played Hamlet, married young and had two children. It all ended in the early 90's when he lived in Vukovar with his family, they were killed in the war. He's been continually been haunted by their deaths--his wife, and young daughter and son. He waited too late to get out of the city and the apartment building where they lived was shelled. He'd gone out for supplies so he wasn't in the building when it was hit. By the time he got back upstairs it was mostly destroyed. His son had been killed instantly and he saw his body, and his wife and daughter were in critical condition. Despite trying to save them both, they still died in his arms since he couldn't leave one to get the other help, and no one came to help them. He has never gotten over it and never will, but over the years he's managed to come to a better place than he had been in. He eventually moved to the States and was fairly transient in his career until he got to Chicago, where he settled down to work at the county hospital emergency room. There he met the people who would become his life long friends and family.
Life happened a lot in the ER too--he started a romance with Abby Lockhart (who he eventually marries in canon 2309804893 seasons later, it is a long show for real), he was rivals and enemies with John Carter and got into a fencing duel with him once because that just happens. He eventually became good friends with him though. After breaking up with Abby, Luka falls into a self-destructive and depressive spiral that led to him driving recklessly and almost getting a med student killed, and this was right after he pretty much killed a patient by accident (this was not a good day for him.) He was drinking a lot during this time, breaking hearts left and right after one night stands, and was being a jerk because he couldn't bear to let anyone get close. He eventually decided to leave county and decided to work with the Alliance de Medicine Internacionale in the rural clinics of the Republic of the Congo in hopes that maybe he would find a purpose there, and feel needed. He was pretty successful there and helped a lot of people, and convinced Carter to come and help as well for awhile. However, it was still extremely dangerous and things went bad after he stayed behind to help patients that couldn't be moved from a clinic. He was suffering from a severe case of Malaria, nearly getting killed and only just surviving because the soldiers thought he was a priest. He was reported as killed and Carter dropped everything and ran to Africa to recover his body, and discovered that he was still alive. Luka's canonpoint is a handful of episodes after this when he goes back to county, recovers, and starts working there again.

Entity Affiliation(s): Luka is definitely going to be aligned with the Slaughter. He once accidentally killed a mugger, but has threatened to kill people before and absolutely meant it. He has been through war multiple times, had his life threatened directly multiple times, and has dealt with random violence entirely too many times. In trying to stop violence, he has committed violence himself, and will absolutely do so again if he has to.
Do They Actively Feed Their Patron?: N/A until he gets a power and is aligned, but it depends what his power is.
How They Might Feed:
Luka is a very peaceful boi until he's not. He would probably start with vigilantism, stepping in if he sees someone getting robbed or hurt, and beat up bad guys. If he's really getting corrupted then he'd probably accidentally kill them by beating them up too much. He would be very Batman/Punisher about it, the shadow that strikes in the darkness etc put fear in criminals can't you see he's doing a good thing here what do you mean it's wrong
This is just me brainstorming powers I was thinking of him getting, but I haven't really decided yet:
An injury/sickness transferal - being able to give one person's injuries or illness to another person. This would be super easy as a doctor to do to feed a patron, and he might do it to give a victim's wounds to an attacker.
Or as an offshoot of the above, pain transferal/induction - being able to transfer pain from one person to another, or to cause pain to happen to incapacitate someone
Hunting enhancements - basically being a tol Wolverine, getting some kind of enhancements that make him able to hunt like agility, eyesight, hearing, etc.

ADI Thoughts: Luka doesn't really play well with authority and just kind of does his own thing and forgets there's little things called rules. He really doesn't like what they did to Katie even though he's suffered directly at her hands. So his suspicion levels are rising.
Present Life:
Luka is settling in mostly, learning how to roomate (what do you mean he can't leave his trash everywhere Donna), and making friends. He's low key crushing on Carter, especially after he keeps saving him.
Future Ideas:

Personality: Prior to becoming an avatar, Jeff was a dreamy, airheaded hippie musician, sweet and easily distracted, and also reckless and terribly traumatized, with terrible judgment, and prone to binge drug use/drinking/partying. Now that Jeff's died and been reborn as an avatar of the Spiral, he's thriving and living his best life! He's friendly, sunny, cheerful, and absolutely capricious. He's more mischievous than outright malevolent, and he still has a few people he's attached to, who might be able to keep him anchored to his humanity, but for the most part...
He's kind of like a chaotic neutral fae who's out to have a good time and twist some minds.
Brief Background: Jeff's a magical rock 'n roll himbo bard from 1995, and you can find more character info in the link at the top! Back home, he was a rising star of a musician, but then he got possessed by a demon and it turned his life into a constant waking nightmare. When he arrived in Gloucester, it severed his tie with the demon, who remained back in Jeff's world. Suddenly, his head was clear and his life was his own again! Which... was honestly a mixed bag for Jeff. Although he was relieved at first, he quickly found himself missing the noise and constant companionship of the thing that had been driving him insane. That, coupled with the corruption of his magic here, pretty much led him straight into the twisty arms of the Spiral.
After months of confusion, fear, alienation, and a growing resentment towards the ADI, Jeff's downward spiral finally culminated in his death and rebirth and things are looking up for the baby avatar!

Do They Actively Feed Their Patron?: Yes! All the time! Especially now that he's an avatar!
How They Might Feed: Jeff's go-to method of feeding was to weave his Empathic Manipulation/Intoxication spell into his music while busking, and drive anyone in earshot into a sudden state of hysteria, mania, or other intense, uncontrollable emotions. It's worth noting, however, that he will not be doing this anymore, moving forward, as he's moving on to subtler methods.
Now that he's an avatar, he's gained some new abilities (to be detailed in his info post when I get a chance) which include creating visual illusions, and infecting people with "earworms" -- which is to say his songs will get stuck people's heads and along with it, a single delusional thought that they will obsess over until the spell wears off. This will play a big part in his fear feeding in the future.
He's also so into gaslighting right now.
He may also start to single out a few townies for some long-term gaslighting / terrorizing, ala some of the Spiral-centered episodes in TMA (A Sturdy Lock, etc). If he does, it'll be sneaky, since he's trying to keep it all under the radar.

Day to Day Activities: Busking and dumpster diving are two of the quick and easy ways people can run into Jeff. Now that he's got his zest for life back, he'll be out and about playing his music again!
I'm also toying with the idea of him returning to the ADI's Admin department, having seemingly gotten his shit together in the wake of Katie Dunn's attacks. But I'm not 100% sure if he's going to risk spending that much time in the lion's den.
ADI Thoughts: Jeff doesn't like or trust the ADI, and on some level, he blames them for driving him to a point of such desperation that he wound up... you know, dying and losing his humanity. But that being said, he's also not interested in, you know, causing a fucking apocalypse, and is actually more willing to help sabotage other Avatars and the Entities they serve.
(And if he can learn some neat, useful shit in the process, all the better!)
Present Life: Well, Jeff died and returned as an avatar. There are some clues scattered around for people to pick up on and suspect/put two and two together, so let me know if you're interested and we can discuss more.
So right now he's a newborn baby avatar, and he's exploring what that means and testing his abilities and feeding his hunger. He's especially playful and hungry right now, and he'll have no qualms alternating between friendliness and using you as a fear juicebox, even if he likes you.
Before he died, he was also kind of a thing with Tim Drake, so there's a lot of lingering attachment there now that he's an avatar. He'll be protective (in ways that may or may not actually be helpful for them) of the people he bonded with most before his death, such as Tim, Meredith, Malcolm, and Gil.
Future Ideas: Well, it all depends on if Jeff becomes more and more monstrous and ultimately links up with other followers of the Spiral, or if he finally chills out and regains more of his humanity. His future's wide open!
CR Wanted: People to be suspicious of him, people to befriend (or """befriend"""), other monsters/avatars, enemies, found families (...somehow), honestly I'm open to pretty much anything! I'd also really love for interactions where people might realize he's become an avatar, but still use him as a dubious ally instead of selling him out to the ADI. Good influences and bad influences are welcome in equal measure!
He's also most drawn to others with magic/abilities and will always happily connect with fellow magical types.
And even if he's an avatar, he still loves music, so hey, musicians and music fans are always welcome.

She's prone to anger and pride, she doesn't always get human customs but she's adapting because she's on their turf, and she's always ready to fight.
Brief Background: Child mermaid is separated from birth tribe and adopted by tribe in Pacific Northwest USA waters, becomes alpha through brute strength but takes role seriously and puts protecting her tribemates above all. Hates humans, due to a massacre they perpetrated on her kind a few generations ago. Willing to work with them if it'll help her kind. Season three brought in her birth tribe, which could sway her loyalty - her birth tribe's leader is plotting to kill all the humans, which isn't off the table, in Katrina's view. At her pull point, she's still with her adoptive tribe.

Day to Day Activities: When she's not on shift, she trains. She's proficient with a spear and is an extremely fast learner who is very down to learn to use other weapons and fighting styles. She swims a lot, with a preference for the ocean - but she keeps away from the temptation to transform, mostly, and swims in a pool most often. She might lurk around the ADI apartments and HQ on occasion, observing people. She'll go hunting in the woods sometimes. She'll talk to people if they approach her or if she has a question or comment. Her English is shaky, but she's slowly improving. Feel free to say your character sat with her for a meal, trained with her, hiked with her... i'm open to a lot! She's gone clubbing with Donna Noble at least once. New experiences are good!
ADI Thoughts: She's suspicious about them because it's a mostly human-run organization, as far as she knows. But so far they've proven trustworthy, so she's siding with them. Well. She's working with them because they house and pay her, but in reality, she's siding with her fellow off-worlders, and yet even they are second to her kind back home. Since they're in this world, however, she's about her people. She's not interested in plotting against ADI right now.
Present Life: She's pretty attached to her roommates, who she views as weak of body but strong of mind (well... maybe not Bruno for the latter - i am so sorry about her lmao). She won't let anything happen to them on her watch. That would be embarrassing and shameful! She's developing ~bonds~ with Mercy and Garner, she cares about everyone's safety, she's into learning how to use a sword from Manji, and she thinks of Donna as something of an alpha as far as human social things go.
Future Ideas: Looking out for mermaid- or ocean-related things in the future 👀 but mostly i'm focused on building and deepening CR. I don't have much energy to really really dig into the plot, but I'll do my best!
CR Wanted: I'd love for her to tell at least one or two people about her life and fears. She's very private about that (can't show weakness!!!) so i want her to get to a point where she has enough faith in non-sirens that she feels loyalty to her ADI tribe.
CR Offered: Found family!!! Battle buddies!!! Deep emotional connection that may or may not be romantic! (Sirens as a species don't do romance, but naturally in canon we see some of them change and fall in love.) She is intense, if nothing else. CR with her can be heavy and also ridiculous (cultural differences, misunderstandings, fun with language...!). She can teach people who to fight, how to speak mermaid sign language, how to hunt... how to swim? Hmu.
CR Not Wanted: Negative CR is fine, but if it's going to be persistently negative with no development, i'd rather avoid it.
Extra: I'm a softie who likes there to be an overall positive emotional payoff. Pain is fine! But not as an end goal. If it happens, it happens, but life in general and my life specifically are REALLY ROUGH rn, so i like a little mostly happy ending in my RP. That said, if the game ends up going into a bad end, it's go big or go home! CR-wise is where i prefer at least a few positive relationships.

She's actually leaning toward "both." In that she thinks the organization as a whole is a failure but there's something more malicious going on in the Gloucester branch.

Future Ideas: I'd like her to eventually ascend into becoming an avatar, and to start more actively digging for the truth and perhaps even killing a few people along the way. In some ways she's completely blowing her redemption arc, in others, she is nailing it.

How They Might Feed: if it's for a quick boost to access powers, he'll mostly lean in the 'people are very scared of spiders' thing, since he can be kinda lazy. if he started actively feeding it, there'd be a lot of convincing people that someone around them is taking advantage of/lying/manipulating them.

Day to Day Activities: regardless of what department i eventually settle on, he is absolutely not doing his best. he's that coworker who shows up 15 mins late with starbucks, makes a suggestion the bosses love, then somehow leaves after lunch without ever getting in trouble. unfortunately he's also kind of funny and charming and DOES have useful suggestions when he puts the effort in. outside of work hours, he mostly chills in his apartment with aziraphale, sometimes goes out drinking, sometimes wanders the grocery store looking very confused. leisure time is very different now that he doesn't have demonic powers and access to endless money. there's a big learning curve
ADI Thoughts: he doesn't think they're necessarily entirely malicious, but he assumes that they're a little incompetent and figures that they view the PCs as disposable, because that's just what he's used to when it comes to employers. that said, he's also not planning to start shit, because he's used to that resulting in, you know, torture
Present Life: every day he wakes up and has to deal with the mortifying ordeal of being human. it sucks, there's so much to DO, why do bodies require so much basic maintenance, if he has to eat one more meal he's going to lose it. also he's in love with aziraphale and very much dancing around THAT issue
Future Ideas: i know he's technically been here for several months but i'm still sorta settling into the game so my future plans are mostly just getting some cr building going

Age: 40
Housing: ADI Housing A2 with Cortana and Tony Stark
Employment: ADI, Investigation and Security departments. There's quite a bit of overlap at times? And it's work that he's used to doing so he's very satisfied with it. It's familiar and makes him feel competent and settled, and that's really helpful considering...everything.

Personality: Jaeger is the very paragon of quiet stoicism and strict professional behavior. He's intelligent, dedicated, and decisive when it comes to his line of work, though in a more social setting he can come across as withdrawn and disinterested. But in most cases he pays more attention than it seems he does. He's used to gathering information and reacting accordingly, and this makes him methodical and precise. This is a man who keeps notes on everything, takes pictures, and files it all away for later.
Underneath that professional demeanor is something softer and less certain, however. Jaeger was badly wounded six years ago, and is terribly scarred both physically and emotionally from the ordeal. He's thrown most of his sense of self worth into hunting blood mages and rescuing their victims, and there are still strong shades of the dedicated family man he once was. Though he can be driven to the point of obsessive, he also craves a sense of stability and safety that's hard for him to attain with his past trauma. He's working through it slowly, but of course Gloucester isn't making it easy on him.
Brief Background: Jaeger was raised in the elite inner circle of a society of magicians, being born to a family bloodline known for powerful magical ability. In the society, Jaeger excelled and grew up to join the private forces of a circle-run Palisade Security. In service to the company, he pursued a great deal of forbidden knowledge and increasingly darker magic, but he was completely loyal and one of the company's best "employees".
Up until the circle murdered his father for having doubts about his loyalty to the circle. The revelation nearly undid Jaeger, and he rebelled only to be captured and tortured by the head security officer, Thomas Jordan, and his apprentice Claudia.
Jaeger escaped after killing them both, but the damage was done. He was forced to send his family away to protect them, and went on the run. Jaeger spent the next six years both escaping the Order, and hunting other blood mages that he knew to be engaged in dark magic.
Jaeger was brought to Gloucester just as he was captured by Company thugs, and just as he was about to be shot. He still doesn't know if he's alive in his world or not.

Do They Actively Feed Their Patron?: No
How They Might Feed: Lurking in shadows and startling people, following and stalking them, trapping them in uncomfortable situations and implying violence. Jaeger is a very big man and used to using that to his advantage. At more extremes, pursuit and "cat and mouse" games, extended threatening before causing harm, and outright torture is a possibility, particularly if there's important information to be had. Jaeger's Hunt aspect also is obsessed with identifying and nullifying threats such as blood mages (or in this world, Avatars), and he could probably cross some boundaries if he thinks that he's dealing with a Very Bad Person.
Open to Other Feeding Suggestions: Yes
Day to Day Activities: Jaeger spends exactly as much time as he's allowed at work, before signing off for the day to pursue other activities. He tends to patrol the area around the apartment buildings, getting familiar with the town and its locations, and can occasionally be found at the beach or Dogtown keeping an eye on things. He also spends a fair amount of time on his physical fitness, working out a respectable amount of time and if he possibly can manage, swimming every day at either the ADI apartments or ADI HQ. Anyone who sees him swimming will get an eyeful of some pretty intense scarring covering his chest and arms, that looks ornamental. The scar across his throat, however, is rough and *not* ornamental in any way.
He also puts in a respectable amount of time at both the shooting range and the weapons training department, the better to hone his physical combat skills. Without his magic, it's what he has to fall back on and keeping in shape helps distract him from stress.
In the evenings, he tends to make dinner, if he hasn't already eaten at the canteen, and then spends some time relaxing before trying to sleep. He doesn't generally sleep very well, but manages to get a few hours a night for his own health. Dreams and late night pacing are fairly frequent, and sometimes he'll wander the ADI apartment grounds late at night, trying to settle his nerves. He attends therapy somewhat consistently at ADI, both for the situations that arise in Gloucester and his own unresolved issues with his past trauma and loss.
ADI Thoughts: Jaeger wants to believe ADI means well, but he doesn't always approve of their methods and is fully aware that they're keeping a great deal of information secret. So far, he's been measuring his assignments very carefully and keeping watch for anything that hints at darker purpose, and making his decisions as each situation dictates from his own gathered information, not just what ADI tells the group.
Present Life: Jaeger is still mystified at the idea of actually making friends, but he's getting there, slowly. Many of the people in his life are co-workers and he's okay with keeping things professional, but there's a handful of folks that he's starting to bond more with and see as actual people he'd want to spend time with outside of work. ADI won't let him become a total workaholic so he's working to fill those hours with whatever he can, and much to his surprise so far he's *mostly* choosing healthy things? Sounds fake but really.
Future Ideas: Jaeger will eventually start falling down the hole with the Hunt, engaging in at least a few questionable actions. While I don't plan for him to become a full Avatar soon, he's been starving himself to keep from feeding the Hunt and it's resulted in the near total loss of his magic. Eventually, he's going to crack, and due to his shadowy background he's already got a lot of very intense, dangerous skills at hand just waiting to be turned to bad uses.
Also, I'm planning to have Jaeger go to the Oracle to find out if he might have survived his encounter with the Conservators back home: at present, he thinks he was probably about to die and it's causing him a lot of anxiety for obvious reasons. Does he have a world to go back to? He really wants to know, as harsh as the truth might be.
Also, also. Slowly, but surely, Jaeger will start to open up to others about his past trauma, and I'm looking forward to that. He needs to start moving past it and accepting his scars, and I'm looking forward to situations that will encourage (*cough*force) that.
CR Wanted: I'm super open to most CR! I try to be careful with negative CR, not to make it too over the top, but I'm definitely open to rivalry, distrust, or outright animosity because sometimes these things happen, right? More positively, I'm great for friends, coworkers, trainees, potential relationships, people that Jaeger wants to look after but also those that he can work with on an equal level, that appreciate his professional demeanor.
CR Offered: Jaeger is the father of a young daughter, who would be 13 now. As a result, he tends to be protective of the younger ADI transplants and will do his best to make sure they're safe and comfortable. He's an experienced professional in security and corporate...enforcement, and happy to take others under his wing to teach them what he can to make them more effective employees. And help keep them alive. Jaeger is really big on trying to keep people alive.
CR Not Wanted: I'd just like to avoid anything excessively, grindingly negative because this game has enough trauma and stress! I mean, unless/until it's called for.

Brief Background: Born in 1917, fought in WW2 both as part of a regular army unit and then as part of an elite strike squad with Steve Rogers, got injected with the supersoldier serum, HYDRA version, then fell off a train in a ravine, lost an arm, and got picked up by the same people who dosed him. He then got brainwashed, repeatedly memory-wiped, and turned into a deadly assassin for the Bad Guys. The Bad Guys stupidly pitted him against Steve which, after much fighting and struggle, broke his conditioning so he saved Steve and then ran away. ... and then wound up in the first round of ADI's IC recruits less than a day later. He's one of the ones who've been here the longest.

Do They Actively Feed Their Patron?: He tries not to, because he hates the Entities and wants to shoot them with a rocket launcher, but sometimes he inadvertently does because in his attempt to try and be more of a real person, he kind of winds up being creepy and feeding the Stranger anyway. Sorry.
How They Might Feed: Poorly mimicking human behaviors. Wearing his goggles and face mask while on missions. Being scary good at shooting people, and never hesitating, even if he knows who he's shooting by name. Sorry, ADI co-workers in that dream realm. He totally killed you and has no response for it.
Open to Other Feeding Suggestions: Yes
Day to Day Activities: Patrolling the ADI compound, patrolling the ADI apartments late at night, training in the gym/shooting range, TEACHING in the gym/shooting range, loitering around the cafeteria or vending machines, occasionally hiding in a maintenance closet to recover from a panic attack or flashback. He makes regular trips through the town and visits to Dogtown on the weekend. He is very steady in his routines, so if you want to find him, it's usually pretty easy.
ADI Thoughts: He doesn't necessarily trust them, but he doesn't NOT trust them, either. There was a set of truth-spelled interviews a couple months back that Winter watched, so he's aware that ADI isn't responsible for bringing people here and isn't hiding how to send them back, and he's reasonably convinced ADI does in fact want to stop the Entities and protect people. Since protecting people is what he's decided is his goal in life, these days, he's on their side until they prove that's not what they want. Nobody else is offering anything better for his purposes. Plus, he likes the routine and stability they provide. It's not like Winter can really hold down a job anywhere else.
Present Life: Steve Rogers just showed up and it's thrown him a little bit into a tailspin because oh god Steve Rogers what does he do. Otherwise he's hovering around his people and trying to work out how to be a proper person since being NOT a person is feeding his Entity. And upsetting his friends.
Future Ideas: Continuing to struggle with his Entity and becoming a person. Most of my plans for him are CR based, as I have no plans to turn him into an avatar unless something Really Fucked Up Happens, and I'd really prefer for things not to go that far if possible. If his friends wind up starting to give in to their Entities, he will try to stop them. He might cry about it, but he'll still do it.
CR Wanted: I'm pretty satisfied with my current range, but I'm always game for more. Someone trying to emotionally manipulate him or give him bad advice about personing, maybe. Someone trying to give him GOOD advice about personing. People to adopt. People to teach stuff. People to teach HIM stuff.
CR Offered: A teacher for fighting, shooting, not dying in combat situations, multiple languages, and basic mechanical knowledge. He can fix your car. Probably. If it's not too fancy. Also, a die-hard protector. He will always protect. Always.
CR Not Wanted: No magical manipulation, please, it squicks me out. No romance at this point in time (though hilarious misunderstandings about potentials romance are of course always fun).

Employment: He does mostly investigation work for ADI. He doesn't like being in the office if he can help it and would rather be out exploring.

Personality: Manji is gruff, to the point, and doesn't tend to sugar coat things. It often comes off as him being rude; be it intentional or not. He likes to think of himself as solitary, but he actually does enjoy the company of others. Especially younger kids that he has a secret soft spot for.
Brief Background: Manji comes from 18th century Japan which is why a lot of this technology is beyond his scope of understanding. He's also only just recently lost his arm a few months ago in a prison escape where he was being held and his immortality experimented with. Right before he was brought to this city he suspected his traveling partner who was like a younger sister to him was kidnapped by a madman. So, he's had a bit of a rough go of it lately.
Entity Affiliation(s): The Corruption
Do They Actively Feed Their Patron?: He has been avoiding doing so for the most part, but during the last event he fed his patron.
How They Might Feed: Easiest way is for him to get injured. He's infested with worms and you can see them when they heal his injuries.
Open to Other Feeding Suggestions: Yes please. I struggle a bit with this as I'm worried about taking things too far.
Day to Day Activities: Spending time outdoors. He's not exactly afraid of all the technology but it can, at times, be overwhelming. Getting out in nature as best he can helps with that. He likes spending time in the parks or out by the water where he can try to ignore all the noise of the city. He does love this incredible choice of food this new time has to offer. Most of his paychecks are spent eating out.
ADI Thoughts: He doesn't trust ADI. The government and "official" ranking types have caused him too much grief at home. Between ordering him to kill innocents and experimenting on him he suspects ADI is hiding something big and is either using them all or this is some sort of big experiment. Maybe they both have the same goals, but he doesn't believe for a second that ADI would be helping them unless it benefited ADI more.
Present Life: Right now Manji is trying to feel slightly more stable in this strange new world. He doesn't want to feel settled because he is incredibly driven to find a way back to his time.
Future Ideas: I'm trying to be braver and come up with more ideas to have Manji interact with his patron. Or, on the flip side, watch Manji grow weaker and weaker from not feeding the Corruption for it to perhaps ultimately wind up with him snapping, attacking someone, chopping off their arm and attaching it to his own body so he has two arms again. Despite how tough he likes to act and how he looks Manji isn't violent without good reason and I can't really think of a reason he'd go so far as to chop someone's arm off with the intention to steal it just yet. Just some ideas I've been toying around with.
CR Wanted: I would like to help Manji develop some good friends which may be a struggle as he's not overly social. Although I am a huge sucker for negative/strained CR so never be afraid to confront/upset Manji about anything at all.
CR Offered: A grumpy man who acts like he's 80 sometimes, but actually is a sucker about helping those in need. Offering negative CR because Manji can be rude and mean at times, but also positive CR as he's still the type of guy who will jump in front of a bus for you.
CR Not Wanted: No such thing. Come at me.
Extra: Don't investigate Manji's canon without talking to me first. I adore it, the visuals are stunning, but it is problematic. It comes with a boat load of content warnings I am happy to share and give you feedback on their levels of intensity across the various mediums the original manga has been adapted into. I don't want to turn people off of Blade of the Immortal, but I do want to let people know it is a heavy and dark story.

Personality: Peter is what you expect from a teenager. A little awkward, a bit anxious, unsure of where he fits in the world. He feels more confident, chatty and able as Spider-Man most of the time. He's a friendly kid who wants to do good. He's a bit too mature for his age in some ways whilst still viewing things from a very distinctly teenage lens. Peter is a kid who takes on too much in order to protect other people.
Brief Background: Peter was pulled from Far From Home, mid-illusion scene. So he's sense of reality currently is a bit wobbly. He understands logically this is real, but keeps waiting for a rug pull. He's at one of his lowest points in that movie.

ADI Thoughts: Peter is very undecided about ADI. He's worried it's some trick by Mysterio. He's trying to relax into the idea of what the ADI is doing (stopping the end of the world and everything), but he isn't sure what he can even do to help if he isn't Spider-Man. Currently, he feels useless as Peter-Parker. He knows he's smart enough to handle certain things, but without his powers he doesn't feel like he'll be able to help anyone.
Future Ideas: I want Peter to actively keep feeding his patron to some extent in emergencies and trying to rationalize it away. He's better AS Spider-Man after all. Why shouldn't he be strong enough to protect everyone? Even if it hurts him in the long run.
CR Wanted: All, every. I'm down to clown on everything. I'd love for Peter to have good and bad influences of friends. Encouraging him to feed his patron so he can help.

Personality: Loud, and friendly to the point it could be seen as an act of aggression, Jaskier is probably what most people think of when they think of "Bard". He flirts, he sings, he flirts some more - while previously he was quick to slack on responsibilities, growing older and seeing the awful men can do to one another means he's learned a thing or two about stepping up when the need arises.
Brief Background: You know how it goes - the whole noble birth, university student, wandering bard, bombastic success thanks to finding your muse, occasional university lecturer pipeline. With a side of helping elves escape the north once public opinion of them goes from bad to worse because somebody has to do something. Jaskier's straight from the end of S2 of the Witcher so in the last few days he'd been busted from prison, made up with Geralt, and been involved with a battle for the witcher's home which mainly involved hiding under a table. It's been a rough few days, so honestly this is totally a vacation for him at the moment.

Day to Day Activities: Currently Jaskier's trying to learn as much as he can. He's kind of a nerd at heart and this is a chance to find out more about this strange new Continent he finds himself on. This involves reading whatever he can get his hands on and talking to just about anyone.
ADI Thoughts: While he's mildly suspicious it's only in the sense that he generally doesn't trust any organization that gets too big to not have a few people with their own self-interest as their priority involved somewhere in it. He's generally down to
clownhelp however he can regardless of trust there.Present Life: He's maybe throwing himself into all this stuff here to avoid thinking about the work in progress mess cleanup that is his life back home. He wants to find a lute.
Future Ideas: Still figuring things out, I'd like for Jaskier to find a place where he can do some work he can be proud of alright.
CR Wanted: Someone to point him to how to get an instrument? Really, anything works right now. Friends, enemies, frenemies.
CR Offered: Given his experiences in his own canon Jaskier's great as a friend for someone who wants friendly CR but is maybe bad at making friends (do you only communicate in grunts and annoyed stares? Great! He speaks that language and is fully prepared to ignore all signs you want him to go away). On the other hand he can easily be an insufferable annoyance if you'd rather have an "Ugh, that guy" instead, though I'd prefer that not be 100% of all his CR.
CR Not Wanted: Aside from wanting him to not be hated by literally everyone which I don't think is going to happen, I'm wide open for both positive and negative CR at the moment.
Extra: While I haven't played any of the games I am in the slow process of reading the books and am so far incorporating anything in them that doesn't contradict Netflix canon.

Personality: Cheery, awkward, and a little secrative. More queer than any one person should be allowed to be, very sweet, and inwardly a bit ruthless. Honestly I'm bad at summarizing but his app is on his journal if ya wanna know more!
Brief Background: Martin is from the original world where the Entities originate, and due to events in Magnus Archives canon, fully believes it's his fault that not only are he and Jon here but that the Entities are as well. Has fought his fair share of cosmic horrors, came really close to becoming an avatar of one, and is now really determined to make sure this world doesn't befall the same fate as his home... which was a total apocalypse.
Entity Affiliation(s): Technically the Lonely, but he's pretty adamant on not doing that these days.
Do They Actively Feed Their Patron?: Not if he can help it.
How They Might Feed: The couple of times he's done it it's been as some kind of punishment and largely an accident, but if you ever want to be terrified about getting lost in a foreign world where no one will ever know what happened to you, hey! He's your guy!

Day to Day Activities: Martin's a little bit of a busybody, so he's always poking around while looking cheerful about it and making small talk with employees and others. Very likely you'll find him harassing Jon to eat, and if you work in Research and aren't taking enough breaks he's probably harassed you too.
ADI Thoughts: Very not trusting, but not open about it. After his last job turned out to be a big cover for the Eye, he's kind of thinking this one is too, even if it doesn't mean to be. He's just trying to stay away from statements this time
Present Life: Lots of Martin's present is trying to enjoy his time with Jon and other people he likes, as well as just... stop people from falling into the Avatar trap. It's not worth it, he promises, you'll think it is but it's so not worth it. He knows from experience but can't say that, so... it's all about being subtle and trying to steer people in the right direction.
Future Ideas: Eventually he is going to crack and someone's going to find out that he knows way, WAY more than he should about the Entities, how they work, and what the end result is if they fail. This is def something he's keeping under wraps, but there's a lot of opportunity for suspicion as to why he has such strong ideas about all this.
CR Wanted: I always welcome more friends for him, but I'm also very interested in more people that will get under his skin a little and also be very suspicious about his intentions and drive. He very much knows that he LOOKS really harmless and it helps him avoid detection for whatever shit he wants to be doing, and so far he's been really good at keeping it under wraps, so hit him uuuuup.
CR Offered: Martin is very good at helping with weird things, being very understanding about hard topics, and also stopping people from doing bad shit with Entities. If you need someone in your corner to stop (or delay) a progression, he's your guy! He's also got some great tea and is willing to gossip very, very hard.

Employment: He largely works in Investigations and Security, he's better being the heavy lifter and fighter type because, while he is particularly smart, it's hard to do research when you're blind. He likes getting his hands dirty and poking around places, so he likes it just fine!

Personality: Kind, calm, thoughtful, and driven but deeply dangerous under the wrong circumstances, he is a trained killer. He does, however, have a great sense of humor and will make you sick of blind jokes.
Brief Background: Dark-Fantasy Based Ex-cultist born and raised in a small mountain community that worshipped a not-yet-god lich that reached godhood not long ago. Garner was hard on the kool-aid until An Event planted seeds of doubt and those grew, prompting himto try and run.
He lost one eye due to a ritual meant to prove his loyalty and make his connection to his god stronger (literally, not just in the crazy cult way) the other eye he lost during a fight while he was trying to escape. He was left for dead, but rescued and got a second chance at life. That he's using to try and hunt down his old cult.
Entity Affiliation(s): The Hunt
Do They Actively Feed Their Patron?: Y..es? Not maliciously, but he views it as a necessary evil when the need arises.
How They Might Feed: In a more direct way: hunting down the people and creatures ADI needs hunted, he's trained as a bloodhunter, it's in his vocation as well as nature. More innocently and indirectly, he will follow people if he thinks they might know something worth knowing or if they're hiding something, 'hunting' them to sate curiosity, though it's not meant to be cruel or scary. In an even more innocent way, he'll sometimes follow the sounds of people's footsteps so he knows where it's safe to walk and what obstacles might be ahead, which can definitely cause a stalking feeling.
Open to Other Feeding Suggestions: Absolutely!
Day to Day Activities: Garner gets up early-ish and does practice forms with his glaive on the ADI training grounds (usually shirtless) then goes back in to shower and get ready for the day. He spends a lot of time around ADI since he can only safely navigate certain parts of the city alone right now, but he does take walks every other day or so in town to try and memorize the layout. People are welcome to join him for any of this!
In ADI during the day, he'll usually either be performing his job as security or seeing if anyone needs help or at a computer learning whatever wikihole he's crawled into for the day.
ADI Thoughts: Right now, he thinks they're fine. They're doign a job and he wants to help with that job. He understands the no powers rule, just doesn't agree with it, but not enough to say anything. He's still somewhat new, so he's still forming his opinion.
Present Life: He's getting along great with his roommate and has a couple people he respects and might seek out to talk to. He also recently fed the heck out of the Hunt and he knows that's...probably not great. But it felt great and got the job done so??? It's fine. No worries. His main concern right now is getting stronger to be more useful on missions in the future.
Future Ideas: I would absolutely love some found family feels for him and particularly some CR that might either support or take issue with his fall towards the Hunt he'll likely be heading towards.
CR Wanted: I mean. Anything, but sparring/fighty friends, Intelligence friends, friends who believe in Good Despite Consequences and friends who don't believe that but will talk to him about it! Anyone who would like to take him shopping, he's still mostly wearing his clothes from hom because he can't see his options...
CR Offered: A calm, kind presence who will listen when you're stressed and try to cheer you up, spiritualism, dark humor, frustrating stubbornness, and someone who desperately wants connections but also doesn't think he necessarily needs them nor has the socialization needed to ask for them.
CR Not Wanted: Nothing specifically! I'm not against shipping with Garner at all, he's actually very up for sleeping with people, but relationships are weird ground for him since he has a hard time recognizing when people are attracted to him unless it's blunt and he's never been in love with anyone, so recognizing that in himself would take some work if it developed at all.
Extra: He is blind! So in threads, just know that if your character nods or doesn't move for a while or something like that, he might not notice if he can't hear whatever movement is happening!
