Information: Kugrash is a ratman dumpster druid from new york city who absolutely hates the fact that he's in massachusets. In-game, he's mostly been moral support has been sort of looking after people, though he's been a bit MIA/a bit of an autopilot due to the ooc fact that december is...december.
ADI Thoughts: Kugrash is, in general, a naturally suspicious rat when it comes to corporations considering his past, but I think he's not about to actively admit it to anyone outside close CR. He's keeping a careful eye on them but so far they haven't been too weird, so enh. He'd absolutely be willing to help out any investigations if asked, though. He can do a lot of stuff!
CR Wanted: -I'd love for it to come out that Kugrash was once a human guy and not always a rat man. It isn't something he'd be completely forthcoming even if it isn't exactly a secret, either. Basically: anyone want backstory?
-I think Kugrash in general is due to get into trouble, either hurting someone or getting hurt--this will probably wait until next event, but he's been the morale/staying away from the trouble for too long and I'd love for him to either tear shit up or fail at tearing shit up.
-Negative CR would be cool, but would require ooc communication. Kugrash is a smelly, nasty, noisy rat. Even if he means well and is ultimately a really good guy, he can be abrasive, and it would be fun to explore that with someone.
-Always on the lookout for Kug to get Worried About People. Especially over people that don't have powers or those that look younger--let him fuss, let him be annoying.
-Tying into my first point with backstory: Kugrash was a father and a very shitty one who's constantly trying to make up for it with good deeds and actions. Let him dad any kids around, but like, absolutely fail at it. He's great at support, practicality not so much.
-While it's a hot button for others, Kugrash doesn't mind feeding his diety since he fully believes (like an idiot) that 1. he has things under control and 2. it's not that big a deal. I'm completely down with this being either a point of contention or agreement with people, it would be fun to explore.
CR Not Wanted: Not necessarily not wanted, but I'm absolutely terrible at network posts/things

Information: Romelle is an alien from a mostly eradicated species - she's lived all her life in a secluded colony of genocide survivors that was being 'guarded' by the exiled prince of the oppressively regime outside. Romelle is a suspicious person by nature and was the only one who suspected and later confirmed that the prince was up to no good... but she couldn't do much about it so now she's here, woops.
Aside from the baggage of her backstory, Romelle is a bright young woman who is super excited to learn all about everyone's worlds. She likes baking, mismatched pastel clothes, and the idea of doing big heroics. She dislikes unreasonable things, dirty places and 'charismatic leaders'.
In ADI she works in Research most of the time, but helps out as a Medical staff whenever things get crowded.
ADI Thoughts: Romelle works with ADI to find out more about them, but she is not particularly happy with the secretive nature of the organization. Fundamentally she hates the thought of lying to normal people about things that prey on them even if there is a logic to it.
CR Wanted: The usual 'all the CR', honestly... She's sociable and makes for an easy friend! But I am all for people she can actually butt heads with two - anybody with a totalitarian streak would rub her the wrong way, for example...

Extra: Here for p much anything that facilitates CR-building, particularly characters going through tough times together. Some of my favorite dynamics include "we don't like each other but we're working together anyway", "we SHOULDN'T like each other because our morals/goals/personalities are so different, but goddammit, there's just something about you", or the first thing leading into the second thing.

Information: Stunted, violent, traumatized woman single-mindedly obsessed with the revenge quest that she's willingly let consume her life. She is very sad and very mad (smad, if you will).
ADI Thoughts: She doesn't trust ADI, and she's not particularly invested in their mission, but she's happy to let them use her as a blunt instrument against their enemies if it gives her a shot at using their power to work towards her own goals (i.e. returning home). She works in both security and investigations, and has mostly been helpful (though uh, sometimes in a chaotic or otherwise unideal way), but it would be so, so easy to sway her towards the Entities instead if she thought she could get a better deal out of them.
CR Wanted: COMPLICATED CR. CR that involves conflicting feelings, attitudes, or moods. CR that shifts around a bit as time goes on, or has surprising depths (ex. characters who get along but still have knock-down, drag-out fights, characters who don't get along but have moments when they can truly empathize with each other, etc. etc. etc.). CR that's ICly confusing or difficult to categorize.

Extra: I am here for all the slow burn CR-building!! Information: Abel is a Catholic priest in service to the Vatican in the year 3064, over 800 years after Armageddon. The world is a much different place, these days; 80% of the world was destroyed in nuclear warfare and only portions of Europe remain inhabitable, world politics are at a boiling point, and... there's vampires? It's a long story. Abel works for a secret agency buried in the Vatican known as the "AX" trying to the peace, and on a more personal note -- works toward his own personal atonement for the sins of an ancient and buried past. Here in Gloucester, he has been attempting to forge some friendships and learn as much as he can on missions in some attempt to glean the bigger picture-- and is slowly becoming frustrated with a lack of progress. (It doesn't help he is often side-tracked by shiny things of a bygone era, and building friendships along the way. Look, he's... he's trying. Probably.)
ADI Thoughts: Abel does not particularly trust ADI, but he realizes the "offworlders" are at their mercy -- and who doesn't want to stop the end of the world? He's lived through one already and he wouldn't like to see a repeat. Even so, he hasn't taken a side, per say; Abel wants to help people and work toward the greater good. He'll follow wherever his moral compass guides him in his search to get out and whatever salvation looks like. That being said... he is a somewhat impatient creature and hasn't had much luck digging up anything substantial. Someone might be starting to get antsy and more willing to take risk to get answers.
CR Wanted: Here is me waving the generic "GIVE IT ALL TO ME" flag, but to be more specific... I would love CR that's complicated!! Give me Deep Conversations, give me stuff that digs beneath the surface... Abel works very hard to keep his secrets but loves prying at others' in his desperate bid to help (and it's fun for that to work out just as much as when it blows up in his face). Talking about the heartfelt, having more serious, maybe-uncomfortable convo's that drive CR growth is always wonderful!! Let him be that guy who listens and genuinely cares and tells someone things they might've needed to hear... and if someone wants to return the favor and watch him surprise pikachu face, I'm here for that, too.

Information: A formerly brainwashed assassin with identity issues, complex PTSD, and very little in the way of personal memories prior to his arrival, though things have slowly been trickling in. Frankly, he hates it. He works for security doing patrols and also does a lot of field work, taking on any job that requires a gun, a knife, or excessive amounts of tolerance for boredom. He hangs around town creepily wearing his full mask and goggles but honestly wouldn't hurt anybody unless they startle him too bad.
ADI Thoughts: Winter needs direction, needs a mission. Right now, the ADI is the source of that direction. Some people have been trying to convince him that the ADI is not to be trusted, but 1) he has nothing else right now so even if he winds up agreeing he's not leaving, and 2) he's pretty used to his handlers being evil, so... also not super likely to leave until he gets the hang of this personal autonomy thing. He is on the lookout for signs that ADI is not actually trying to protect people, though, because the one thing he has in fact decided is he wants to protect people.
CR Wanted: More people to train in self-defense. More people to adopt. More people to team up with or protect on missions. People to prod at his personhood issues (but not too hard because otherwise he shuts down). People that might find some reason to dislike him or maybe try to use him, because he is Very Easily Manipulated to be honest, and I'm game for both 1) people giving that a go to recruit him for whatever their goals are, and 2) his current CR finding out and freaking out about it.
CR Not Wanted: Not interested in romance at this time, and no active mind control please. Passive environment effects I can handle, but active PC mind control is a squick I have. Game-wide plots that affect characters' actions and emotions directly I will also wind up sitting out on and just play straight-man to everyone else's weirdness.
Extra: Right now he is kind of unaware of his connection to an entity. He's connected his serum abilities being associated with wearing his mask and being creepily not-person-like in public, but right now thinks it's just because it feels more like being on a mission. We're working on getting him aware of it and wrestle with what's worth it, but it's slow going.

Information: Having posed as a senior highschooler back home to cover up her real canon job of heretic hunter (aka terminating things that go bump in the night), she's adopting a similar approach in being a cheerful and friendly office lady at ADI. There's no need to hide she's part of Security internally through, and technically the stakes ARE less personal, so she's making no secret of it. The October event didn't affect her much, she got mauled but physical injury is pretty standard back home, plus it was a dream, so. She may or may not have only looked into the deformed vegetable articles and rumors from November because she's a fattydingdong who eats too much despite her size, and has managed to pointedly ignore the worm game this month because it gave her a Very Bad Feeling from the get-go.
ADI Thoughts: Neutral still and obediently abiding by the "don't use your canon powers via entity feeding" rule, but that may be subject to change any day now. She figures ADI's keeping things to themselves, but they're also providing for characters and doing plenty to make their lives comfortable, so it's a matter of perspective and she is quite practical when all's said and done. Can be swayed into pro or anti, but she's more logical than emotional and can perfectly play the devil's advocate, so pin her down for moderate.
CR Wanted:
- People also on the fence about ADI, and/or discuss the pros and cons of breaking the "no power" rule? How much may be 'acceptable'? How to go at it subtly? Etc.
- Or just be goaded by anti-ADI to start using hers more regardless, which she is already considering especially as she's got some handy ones that would be very helpful to actual IC field work. Suggestion is basically hypnosis and probably works easily on most NPCs, and scaring them for activation/compliance and then memory wiping them after to leave them with a sense of unease they have no recollection of... "Subtle", right? The ends justify the means in her book, sooo...
- Sparring partners maybe? She can be found on B3 relatively often working out/handling every sort of weapon/cleaning guns/practising at the shooting range, and such.
- Happy to meet fellow fattydingdongs; she can be found at the cafeteria during lunch break with a homemade bento, it's curry half the time. She's also been trying to bake during her down time at the housing complex, it may smell burnt 10% of the time but she's improving and it's all perfectly edible, at least?
CR Not Wanted: Nothing I can think of, I'm willing try anything and it's hard to genuinely get on her bad side.
Extra: She's big on side jobs and volunteering for stuff, but supposedly the ADI locals would've explicitly told characters that getting involved with the NPC population would bring misfortune to them. She's stopped because of it after doing a bit of it shortly after her arrival, but it could be a Thing for characters to willingly instigate and try investigating more in detail? Or try to do it subtly like setting up an advice blog online, whether to test the "laws" of this world or find out more ways of very subtly feeding Entities without attracting attention.

One (1) very stressed-out man turned self-made superhero whose only powers are being incredibly smart and incredibly rich flies his puny ass around in a metal suit alongside gods and super-beings and gets into one cataclysmic situation after another. ADI Thoughts: Tony isn't what you'd call a trusting person, exactly (kinda happens after you've been betrayed by people as often as he has), but there's precedent for him to want to work with the prevailing authority as part of an ultimate goal that he has worked out way, way in advance. To him, ADI is his best shot at figuring out what's going on around here, especially since working with them is giving him access to their information technology and a position on the inside that may serve him well in the long run. Iron Man has grown quite a bit since his days of flipping the bird at authority figures and recklessly lone-ranger-ing it; he can see the big picture now, so he'll play the game as long as he needs to.
CR Wanted: Right now it's all about securing allies, since recovery is the name of the game for Tony at the moment. I know I just said I love drama and hate slice-of-life stuff, but I really do need to go easy on this poor man right now lol. So let's make friends! It would especially serve Tony greatly to get to know other people working with ADI, the Tech Department in particular.

A driven and practical doctor with a hidden background in an endless death game, who's very accustomed to patching up the reckless and unfortunate from all the woes this incurs as well as herself. Friendly, more inclined to nurture, and highly secretive when it comes to herself, Emily's content to be a support unit for the real heroes in a group, though not above throwing herself in the fray if needed. Sometimes one needs to take a big risk to incur a decent reward, after all, and Emily's not above ridiculousness. While she's fully a baseline human, she has a ready acceptance to the supernatural and the odd and throws herself into her work a little more than one should to be fully healthy.
As far as the last event goes, Emily took it poorly but hid it under work, and by now has made a public post with Stephen Strange about not only the outworlder presence in ADI's medical department, but that she's offering out a remedy for nightmares and disturbed sleep. It's still in the trial phase, but it's good enough for group feedback, and so if anyone wants, they're free to contact her and get signed up to start their trial.
On a personal CR note, she's beginning to realize she doesn't have much hobbies outside of work, and so is trying to figure out what she can do or get involved in to be able to have more of a life now.
ADI Thoughts: Currently, Emily trusts them, if only because she has a vested interest in making sure the world doesn't end because she's currently living in it. It's that simple.
CR Wanted: Positive and negative CR from any side is welcome! However, below are some ideas I've got that I definitely half-lifted from the last time I did the CR meme because they are eternal.
-Those who need medical care, that's a given when it comes to her.
-Those who potentially may need her to truly heal them and use her cursed item to do so, thereby forcing some honesty. It can heal pretty much any injury short of death, but the price is forcing a deeply held secret to be told to Emily alone. I know this one overlaps with recent events, though!
-Those who might need someone to check in and make sure they're keeping themselves halfway alive in the process. Emily's a worrier by nature so she'll look out for others!
-ADI housing neighbors.
-Friends no matter the circumstances - Emily's a good listener and a generally friendly and civil person, so she can get along with many sorts.
-Literary inclined people - she loves books, and would be happy to discuss them.
-Negative CR wise, she can be quite proud and has little patience if she feels like someone is talking down to her or trying to overtly trick her into something. She also doesn't tolerate edgelords very well, or those that question her expertise.
CR Not Wanted: Not interested in straightforward parental dynamics without a good amount of IC work attached.
Extra: I'm very interested in various types of horror and seeing how to play with them / work with them in Glouchester!

Extra: I love the group dynamics of RP, and how relationship webs start to form. Most of my characters are complete messes, and they're rarely the kind of character that everyone will get along with so I really love complicated dynamics and clashing ideals. In horror specifically, I love the dynamic character development that it tends to cause, either for the worse or for the better (usually the worse.) Something I love about the Magnus Archives is that there's just no ethical right answer to the fundamental question posed of whether it's better to be a victim of an elaborate system of suffering, to become a part of it to avoid that and to maybe try to use that power for good, or to just defy it all no matter the destructive toll it raises. These are the sort of things I really want to explore with Aelwyn.

Information: Aelwyn Abernant is a high elven wizard girl who has something of a superiority complex and it shows. She's very intelligent and comes off as quite ambitious and unflappable. In canon, she is described as having "an inpenetrable and terrifying confidence." This is a smokescreen, and she is in fact a deeply insecure coward who came from an emotionally abusive household and a rigid private school and both of those taught her that being loved is a reward that is only earned by doing everything in your power to win it.
Here, she's largely dedicated herself to research and investigations. She's uninterested in doing a lot of the ADI's dirty work and definitely has some attitude problems and difficulty with living in a non DND campaign world, but she's been extremely efficient in her researching position and is something of a workaholic. So far she's been pretty unaffected by this month's event, though she particularly hated those lights that threatened to spill her worst secrets.
ADI Thoughts: Oh yeah, she thinks they're suspicious as hell. She hasn't decided if it's worth defying them over, but she has decided that she wants to save this world and destroy the entities if possible, for the sake of her ego more than anything else.
She wants to root out their secrets and decide for herself, but she's willing to work with other people to either aid or circumvent them depending on the situation. Some things that she suspects they could be personally responsible for are the following:
-Pointing Ren in Tim's direction to interrupt his plan.
-The disappearances.
-Pulling strings so people from other worlds are caught between leaning on their powers and ascending to become avatars or dying.
-Bringing most of the threats to Gloucester.
She'd be very interested in joining a conspiracy group to unveil their secrets.
CR Wanted: Pretty much all kinds but in particular I want:
-People who can relate to or accept her more horrible traits and conspire with her to commit morally dubious acts to protect the friends she's made.
-Found family particularly in the form of responsible adults hitting her on the head with a newspaper or characters she starts to see as little siblings. (ESPECIALLY little sisters. She has so many sister issues.)
-Allies who are In Cahoots, whether they personally like her or not.
-Friends!! Ones who will try to encourage her to improve as a person or people who will encourage her worst impulses and she will do so in return. Also here for begrudging friends who will sell her out for one cornchip but if she killed a guy would help her bury the body.
-Rivals!!!!!! Either healthy competition, mutual bitter resentment and genuine hatred, or people who just hate her pragmatic and spiteful way of looking at the world and will actively work against her. I'm here for just about any kinds of negative CR.
CR Not Wanted: Uhhhhhhhhh... nothing really.
Extra: She is going to lean more and more toward fully embracing her powers, and the more people try to convince her she's wrong, the more she'll try to convince herself that she's right and also too smart to be wrong.

Information: Actual factual biblical angel. Generally friendly, trusting, well-meaning, and full of love (with a well-hidden lil bastard streak)! Intelligent, soft, and polite. On the fidgety and occasionally anxious side. He got put on Earth with a cool flaming sword and then gave it to Adam and Eve when they got exiled bc he was Worried about them being safe, but also he put together a bookshop and to this day refuses to sell his books at all cost. Anyway he loves Earth so much he went full anti-apocalypse. (well actually he's bummed bc he's at a canonpoint where last he heard, his shop burned down but still) In love with a demon? It's more likely than u think. Fussy gay vibe, which is both inherent and deliberate. Truly a creature of nuance. Currently doing his best at the ol' "I Have Always Been A Normal Human" routine.
ADI Thoughts: Aziraphale's kind of in an alignment-of-circumstance mode re: ADI right now. He figures if there are gonna be eventual answers and possibly a way back home, they seem like the best bet of getting that info. So he's not very inclined to get too cross-purposes or subterfuge-y on that front at present. Plus I mean they have a library that's not open to the public, that's basically catnip.
CR Wanted: He's still super new and not familiar with/holding stake in plot stuff right now, so I'm definitely very open on this front. Fellow nerds, odd ducks, people who enjoy odd ducks, history enthusiasts who wanna talk about niche weird stuff. Literature buffs!! He's huge into literature. Friendly CR is probably what I'm most out for at least right now! Also idk, the more people willing to help him learn to use a smartphone the better. He has trouble recognizing he's been sent to voicemail, it's a whole thing.

Extra: My Plurk is mostly music, RP chatter, and shitposting, with the occasional day to day stuff thrown in. Due to not working and spending a lot of time at home, I'm around a lot of the time, though my tagging speed varies depending on health issues. I wobble around from genre to genre and fandom to fandom, though I am a hardcore old-school Tabletop gamer and that influences a lot of my RP. Favorites include Shadowrun, Call of Cthulhu, D&D, and old World of Darkness, so definitely a tilt toward horror, action, and drama. I'm super-open to most scenarios and very hard to weird out, and of course I'm pretty terrible to my characters because hey, that's what we're here for, right?
Andrew Jaeger

Information: Jaeger is a runaway blood mage, fleeing the cult/corporation that he was born and raised into. He's lived most of his life deeply involved in magic of all sorts, including some of the darker arts, though after the murder of his father he renounced the organization and went on the run. Some of his powers are pretty intense and disturbing, and he has a strong background in security and "special operations" that he carried out for his old masters. Now, however, he's turned those skills to the purpose of rescuing innocent people caught up in dark magic and hunting and eliminating mages who are too far gone to be redeemed.
Needless to say, he's already in deep with the Hunt and knows it, though he's doing his best to stay on the side of good. Or at least, use his Bad Powers in the most altruistic way possible. He has a lot of sins in his mind to atone for and while he does his best to be a good person, he's also extremely practical and occasionally ruthless after the things he's seen.
Jaeger is also a survivor of torture and black magic, and is badly scarred. His voice is damaged from a severe throat injury, and he wears long sleeves and high collars to cover the marks.
ADI Thoughts: Jaeger is happy to have a purpose and familiar structure, though given his experience with the last corporation he fell in with, he's being very careful about how must trust he gives. He wants to believe ADI has the world's best interests in mind, but doesn't always agree with their approach and is very cautious about how involved he gets with them. For now, he's accepting the situation and doing his best to be a Good Employee, but he's watching closely to make sure that there are no unpleasant surprises like there have been in his past.
CR Wanted: Jaeger has been working on his own for quite a while now, so the idea of steady co-workers and companions is kind of strange to him right now. He's been through a lot of trauma and that is coming out slowly as he gets to know people, and I will probably be exploring a lot of that as he starts to adapt to his new life. On the flip side of that, Jaeger is also doing his best to be a good person and help others around him, so he's just as willing to try and assist others with their baggage. He's trying very hard to establish a new sense of "normal", dealing with past and present events while doing his best not to be overwhelmed by them, and reaching out to others for both the intense stuff and more low-key, day to day living.
CR Not Wanted: If negative CR crops up, I prefer there to be communication about it but that's not a hard no! I just like to keep a handle on the situation. Also, Jaeger isn't really thinking about shipping right now, though I'm open to the idea if it happens organically!
Extra: I will always try to provide content warnings when discussing Jaeger's ugly past, but if there's anything you aren't comfortable with, *please* let me know so I can adjust. I want everyone to be happy here, we're all friends.

Information: Kate is from an earth with two moons. Second moon has given humans powers that are called Abilities. People with powerful, rare or super unique abilities are wiped from the record and pressed into service for various governments. Kate has just recently found this out and promoted. Knowing about the conspiracy and helping it is causing her to feel guilty.
She has a bad habit of ignoring her emotions and trying to bury them. Eventually it's going to catch up to her and she's going to blow. It'll be disastrous. I cannot wait!
When not working for ADI, Kate has been exploring the town. She makes breakfast and dinner for her roommate. In the evening, she either writes in her journal, crafts or bakes. If she can't sleep, it's all three.
ADI Thoughts: ADI is SUS not in an immediate negative way but more in the way she is going to take everything they say with a grain of salt. Who are they really? Why aren't they really freaked out about people being brought in from different universes? It's a little too convenient that they exist.

Information: Info Post - Abby is...kind of a normal girl, but from a world where some people can do magic and some people can't. Abby can do magic, though she doesn't have a lot of training yet, by using a ritual (she knots strings). She's an unsentimental, practical kind of person who isn't overly emotional, and has a kind of dry, sarcastic sense of humour.
A few years ago, she had a really awful ordeal (a shipwreck and stranding on a lifeboat that ended with her having to engage in survival cannibalism) so she has a lot going on under the surface. There's a lot of trauma and self-hatred under the surface because she should feel guilty and disgusted by what she did, but she just...doesn't. She has nightmares, doesn't like to eat or sleep very much, and hates the ocean and big empty spaces. And sharks. But if you ask her about any of this, she'll say she's just fine and make a dumb joke. She has started opening up a little bit recently, though, to her roommate, so that's something!
ADI Thoughts: I wouldn't say Abby trusts that ADI is totally on the level, much like she wouldn't exactly trust any other similar organization. She is, however, really interested in all the creepy horror phenomenon and has been working research and investigations. She just thinks it's cool, and hasn't been sufficiently traumatized yet. Would someone like to help me with that?
CR Wanted: Honestly anything. I'd love for her to get close enough to more people to tell them about her history so she can make bad cannibal jokes instead of talking about her feelings. Then I'd love her to get close enough to talk about her feelings instead of making bad cannibal jokes. I've also had her interfering in an effort to hook up some dumb boys, and I'd be interested in more of that kind of CR interference, she gets great joy from it.
But yeah, tl;dr, I just really really want more people for her to get closer with, and situations that facilitate that.
